Bea Lion sends a message of using innovation and being persistent, as well as following dreams. Bea wants more out of life and she has to work to get it. She has to use her imagination and create a solution to her problem… even if it’s kinda yucky. And she has to find the the right “people” to collaborate with. I think the end could use more of an explanation… but overall my children enjoyed it!

What I loved about this book was that it shows kids that they can follow their own dreams. Just because it has always been done a certain way doesn’t mean they have to do it. It isn’t about conforming to the world’s or parent’s ideals, but about being your own person and following your heart. This book will have kids laughing at the interaction between the main character and the birds. The pictures are vibrant with enough detail, but not too overwhelming. I can see myself as a teacher reading this in the classroom once school starts. My three year old was laughing and enjoyed the pictures.

Super cute story. My kids thought the part about birds pooping on the lions head was hysterical. It has a good message. Bea lion is a loveable character. She has a dream, shared it with her mom, creates a plan (that kept my kids laughing) and continuously reminded them that it’s okay to be different, be brave and try new things.

My little ones were so interested in reading this book! They loved the lion and found the book funny and cute. I love how it ended at the beach, especially since we just spent our whole vacation at the beach. It’s such a beautiful place and I love how it encourages its readers to go an explore the world! There’s so much to appreciate in nature!

My kiddos really liked the story! BEA it’s such a cute character! The illustrations are so colorful and adorable! I really love the concept of being free to explore the world! As a mom, I try to do that and help the kids explore as much as they can while protecting our wildlife! The book was perfect for our family especially since we love the beach!

This is an inspirational story for all children to be themselves and to get out and explore the world! As a school counselor, I will be using this book in my sessions with my students as a reminder that they have the option to be who they want to be. The sky is the limit as long as they work hard to reach their dreams! My 3 year old son loved the story since the characters and topics used are funny and relatable!

Bea Lion by the phenomenal author Becky Cummings was nothing short of amazing yet again! This is the purrfect book to teach your child a few great lessons! First and foremost, it’s ok to want to be different and to follow your dreams! Second, it’s good to communicate your thoughts and desires with your parents (hopefully they will listen like Beas mom did). Lastly, having friends that are helpful and that you trust are very important! My nephews favorite part was the “pooping party plan” (typical 7 year old boy). Bea teaches girls that it is awesome to be brave and strong willed! Any child will love this adorable book!

I love the message behind the book. It is an amazing book full of messages for students. It is powerful and unique. Bea is an amazing character that is well designed and helps students understand the message that is being pointed out. This character makes it easy for students to comprehend what is being said. I love how the story allows the character to challenge what is in its way. I also love the story behind the author. She truly understands children’s needs and wants in a book. She writes in such a powerful way and uses her thoughts to create thought provoking conversations. I truly love this book and author.
