I loved this book! The writing and illustrations were spot on. This book teaches children the power of faith and no matter what you wish for, it’s really up to God to make the choices for you. The book talks about adoption and showing you how long the process can take, etc. But you don’t have to be in the middle of an adoption process to enjoy this book with your children, because the root of the book is about faith. I highly recommend this book and wish this book was available when my children were little. This book would also be a perfect gift.

Adopting a child is a big decision and the book takes us through the process, the anticipation of the arrival, and questions that biological children have. Keeping The Faith teaches kids to trust God that everything will work out. A wonderful book to help kids understand adoption. Recommended!

Can’t really put myself in a child’s view but this was definitely not an exciting book which was a bit disappointing considering I have two adopted little sisters and there’s so much more to adoption. The description says this book goes to age 12, but I would say this is more for very young kids. Children can handle much more than this.However, the repeating part is appealing and for a small child I could see them happy about the baby’s name being Faith. I also loved that this was based on a real story. (Will edit my review accordingly after reading to one or both of my sisters)

Such a sweet, inspiring story with a great message about adoption. The book is a great perspective on what the adoption process looks like. The illustrations are awesome too, just look the other books she has written. Definitely recommend!

It’s been a while since I read a book and it gave me such a warm sensation like this one did. As the family prepared for the arrival of their baby sister, my excitement grew with them! Then when she arrived, I felt so happy for the family. What a delightful read. The facts and vocabulary at the end of the book is superb as well. This is a great book for kids to understand adoption better.
