An adorable story about a strong, fearless lion named Bea! A great read that shows kids it’s ok to question things and search for their own happiness! This book is also beautifully illustrated!

I thought this story was a well thought out coming of age story for Bea and her family and friends. I can’t what to read her next adventure as this book leaves you hanging and wanting to know what she will encounter next. Good Luck Bea!

My children and I loved this book! Very wonderfully written. The illustrations fit perfectly. The story is just want kids need to hear, about not listening to others limiting themselves, and finally breaking free. About being themselves, and coming up with a plan, and sticking to it. About being BRAVE! I love that it’s about an animal and relates to children so well. It has you wanting more of the story to see what happens to Bea!

This book is a fun book! It’ll give my son a great perspective not just that anything is possible but also what its like for animals in a zoo. It also shows the power of help from friends. I can’t wait to read it to him tonight! Great for all ages

There are plenty of things that I loved about the story and reading it with my 4 year old. She loves animal & the zoo so Bea was already a winner! We didn’t like when Bea was sad and felt limited. We were cracking up when Bea got pooped on! And celebrated when Bea was finally free! She was determined, took her time to come up with a plan, and she did it.!! Loved the little lesson behind it too me and my little one definitely recommend it!

I have read all of Ms Cummings books. I always enjoy the combination of digestible content for children, serious emotional topics and brilliant illustrations. Bea Lion is no different. Who doesn’t want their kids to Be a Lion. We struggle sometime with getting our kids to display courage and try new things. This is a great book for those seeking an entertaining way to broach these topics with your kids.
